In oil-injected rotary screw compressors, this component is installed inside the oil-gas separation tank. Adopting the coalescing filtration principle, it separates and traps residual lubricating oil droplets in the compressed air to ensure the discharge of clean compressed air and protect downstream filters, dryers and pneumatic equipment.
Material and Design Safety Features
• Pressure Resistance and Collapse Prevention: Reinforced heavy-duty steel support mesh and end caps are adopted to ensure the filter element maintains its geometric shape and never collapses under high pressure differentials and instantaneous system pressure fluctuations.
• Anti-static Grounding: Anti-static grounding copper strips or grounding wires are usually fitted on the top cover and gaskets. Static electricity is easily generated by the high-speed friction of oil and gas. Proper grounding can completely eliminate the risk of internal deflagration of the oil-gas barrel caused by static sparks.
• Low Pressure Drop and Energy Consumption Control: Optimized media air permeability maintains an extremely low operating Pressure Drop at all times, reducing the extra work of the air compressor main unit and thereby cutting energy consumption.

The filter element has reached the end of its service life or been damaged and must be replaced immediately when the following signs appear: • Severe oil carryover at the rear pipeline or exhaust port, causing an abnormal sharp rise in lubricating oil consumption. • The air compressor control panel indicates excessive oil pressure drop (ΔP) or triggers an alarm, resulting in reduced system exhaust efficiency. • Frequent oil accumulation and damage to rear filters or dryers.
